Dog life

During the lockdowns, on otherwise empty streets, a lot of dogs were being walked, often reluctantly. Dogs were in demand, to give us companionship, affection, or a reason to leave the house. I liked to watch them trying to do the things they wanted to do in spite of our needs. I started to draw them: pulling, dragging, or being curious, focused, bored. Perhaps the metaphor is a bit obvious but they reflect the way I sometimes feel, especially at those times when the expectations of daily life frustrate our desire to just be ourselves.
