Dominic’s kitchen is an unstill life: disorganised, chaotic, strewn or precariously balanced. I learned to live with it by drawing it. These are a few selected drawings made over several sessions. I usually began with fairly studied drawings from life, then pushed things around, loosening up as I went. I used it as an opportunity to experiment using ink with different tools – brush, pen, stick – and on different papers.
