Swaffham has a regular Saturday street auction. Locals, tourists and the odd artist meet there to browse, chat, confer about mysterious tool parts and pick up a bargain (I once got two silkscreens for £2). I like to sketch the people, and lately I have been drawn to the rows of random objects nestling incongruously together, as they hit the bottom of the retail chain to make their way back up again. I’ll probably keep drawing this place as long as I am in striking distance.
